IPL 2025: Akash Deep blames pacers' injuries for LSG's failure to reach playoffs

Lucknow Super Giants pacer Akash Deep said that all four of LSG’s main fast bowlers were sidelined before the tournament started, which affected the team’s rhythm and bowling strength. LSG were marred by injuries ahead of IPL 2025, with the four main pacers, Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan, Mohsin Khan and Akash Deep, all unavailable for the first few games.

"Our team had a bit of bad luck because the four main fast bowlers of our team were all injured before the tournament. So, coming back from injury and playing is a bit difficult. I feel that, in some way, this has been a big factor for our team not playing the playoffs," LSG pacer Akash Deep said in the press conference.
