R&B artist and actress Casandra Ventura, known as Cassie, has welcomed her third child, a baby boy, in New York.

The joyful news came just days after she finished testifying in the highly publicised sex trafficking case against music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Former Diddy Employee Confirms Birth

Combs' stylist, Deonte Nash, a former longtime staffer at Combs' company, verified in his court hearing on Wednesday that he had called Cassie the previous day to personally congratulate her on the birth of her son.

As reported by AP, Cassie and her then-fianc, fitness trainer Alex Fine, got married in 2019. The couple had earlier welcomed daughters Frankie Stone Fine in 2019 and Sunny Cinco Fine in 2021.

Cassie in the Middle of Federal Trial

Cassie is a key witness in the federal trial against Combs, 55, who is facing some serious charges like sex trafficking and racketeering. Prosecutors say that Combs used his power in the entertainment industry to push women, including Cassie, into drugs and other sexual situations with other people.

The Associated Press generally does not name victims of sexual abuse unless they opt to come forward. Cassie identified herself publicly and hoped her statement would inspire others to find the courage to speak about abuse.

Cassie has made no public comments on the birth since she left court. Neither she nor her husband's representatives have responded to media requests so far.

In an earlier statement, Cassie said she was concentrating on healing and recovery following years of trauma and fear.
