Pakistan's Ministry of Water Resources has written to the Ministry of External Affairs to reconsider the move to pause the World Bank-brokered Indus Waters Treaty after New Delhi paused it following the Pahalgam terror attack, according to sources.
Government sources clarified that the ceasefire is unconditional and does not alter India's key strategic decisions, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) or its policy of "zero tolerance" toward terrorism.
